How do you drive traffic to your website, and more importantly is it profitable? While paid traffic is great for more skilled marketers, if you are a newbie I consider you stick with methods that do not cost you much money, if any at all.
Here are three methods I use on a daily basis for driving traffic to my website:
1. Article marketing. This is a great method of traffic generation because it only costs you time. While you can outsource your articles for a free, I recommend writing them yourself to start with. You should write at least 20 articles per week, and capture the email addresses of people who visit your website so you can market to them again and again via an autoresponder.
2. Blog commenting. Commenting on other peoples blogs can get you a nice amount of traffic. Leaving a blog comment only takes a few minutes, and each comment can easily bring 10 or more visitors to your website each day. If you are fortunate enough to find a blog in your niche that is popular, you could see over 50 visitors a day to your website just from this method.
3. Classified ads. Here I am specifically talking about ebay classified ads. These ads cost just $9.95 for a 30 day listing, and a well written ad can easily bring 300 or more people to your website per month. that means you only pay 10 cents for every potential customer! Get 10 or 20 of these ads running each month, and will see some massive traffic!
There are my three top methods for driving traffic to my website. I suggest that you use all three of these methods in order to generate traffic. Just remember the bottom line is more traffic equals more money!
